Abstract

Background. In modern conditions of the Russian society development, social entrepreneurship is a link between the state, business and society in the process of solving social problems of various categories of the population. The aim of this article is to measure the parameters of the Belgorod region youth readiness Belgorod region for entrepreneurial activity in the social sphere.
Materials and methods. The implementation of the research tasks was achieved on the basis of an empirical measurement of the youth readiness for entrepreneurial activity in the social sphere, conducted in January-February 2020. The research included methods of systems analysis, sociological survey, method of quantitative and qualitative data processing.
Results. Based on the results of the study (n = 800, aged from 16 to 35, 2020), the main parameters of Belgorod region youth readiness for entrepreneurial activity in the social sphere are highlighted: the activity and involvement of youth in social activities, the problem of trust-distrust in the opportunity obtaining social benefits, the level of social responsibility in business practice.
Conclusions. The authors revealed that young people are quite active and are involved in social activities to solve various kinds of problems; on the one hand, the problem of trust-distrust in the possibility of obtaining social benefits remains quite acute, but on the other hand we can see fairly high indicators of hope and delight from the presented opportunity and young people are ready to accept social entrepreneurship as such in the hope of solving social problems; demonstration of a fairly high level of social responsibility in business practice prevails, the respondents have a special understanding of the purpose of business – not only as a source of profit, but also as an opportunity to solve urgent problems in the social sphere.
